Sgt. Anthony Park is a cozy neighborhood green space conveniently located in Jersey City, New Jersey, featuring a small dog park area alongside a basketball court and playground. The dog section provides a convenient option for pet owners looking for a nearby, dog-friendly spot to let pets socialize and play off-leash within a fenced area. While the park isn’t the largest in town, its local charm and easy-going atmosphere make it a favorite for families and dog lovers living nearby.
The park features several benches and seating areas, though some visitors have noted that the amenities could be upgraded—especially the ground surface, which is currently gravel and dirt. There is no dedicated water fountain for dogs, so pet owners should come prepared. Parking is street-side, which is usually available along Palisade Ave. The park’s compact size and simple offerings make it ideal for neighborhood visits rather than a destination dog park.

Every time I visit this place, I have to bath my dogs because their paws will be full of dirt and gravel. And some, maybe one dog activity at least on one side of the playground. I have taken several pictures of all the defects holes On the gate between the playground From the large side to the small side. Ground not leveled and holes in it. Bench not stable to sit on for the doggy parents. No water fountain for our doggies to stay hydrated. Don’t get me wrong. I would love to visit this location every day.
