🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located at 801 W 11th Ave, Stillwaggin’ Dog Park is a popular dog-friendly destination in Stillwater, Oklahoma, offering a welcoming environment for pets and owners alike. The park features fully fenced play areas with double-gated entrances, providing a secure space for your furry friends to romp safely off-leash. Dog owners will appreciate that the park uniquely separates play areas based on dog size, so small dogs (30 lbs and below) and larger dogs each have their own designated zones. Shaded benches and seating areas allow owners to relax in comfort while their dogs play.
This Stillwater dog park also provides ample space for dogs to run and socialize, with plenty of natural shade throughout the fenced areas. While there is no dedicated dog water fountain, visitors should remember to bring their own water, as only a dog bowl is provided in the large dog area. Families will enjoy nearby open spaces and playground amenities, making it a great spot to bring kids and pets together. After heavy rain, some areas may be muddy, so plan accordingly for wet weather visits. Stillwaggin’ Dog Park is a must-visit for pet parents seeking a friendly, secured, and spacious dog park in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Plenty of space for dogs to run. Separate area for small or disabled dogs, a few piles of poop, not bad.
This is such a great park for the kids and family. We really enjoyed getting our workout in at the park and having some shady spots to sit and rest. The dog area looks really nice, will definitely be coming back with my dog.
On behalf of my buddy Spot, I’m sure this park has it’s “busy” times possibly mornings and evenings since it’s summer. I stopped during the afternoon and it was pretty dead here. I was passing thru Stillwater and my buddy needed a place to spent some energy and handle his business.
The dog park is smaller than other dog parks I’ve been to, it has several shaded areas and benches throughout the fenced in dog park. They have two areas for your furry friends to play in based on size of dog (30lbs and below has a small fenced area. Over 30lbs has the large sized fenced in.)
I only saw a doggy bowl in the large playpen, the smaller doesn’t feature this but I suppose a handy bowl to help transport to the other side is tolerable. No fountains for the owners/child to drink from so with that being said, make sure to bring your water bottles.
The large playpen features a large dirt patch. I can only imagine how bad it’ll look after it pours the night before.
They have a total of 4 baseball style “player huts,” fenced and connected to the playpens. Allows you to unleash your dog before going into the playpen with your buddy. Plus side, it’s shaded.
The downside to all of this is, it doesn’t feature a fenced in shower station. So I assume after incliment weather, the dog park is usually not used until it dries up. If this is the only fenced in Dog Park for dogs in Stillwater then that means your furry friends will need to go a day or two without any fun and socialing experience.
All in all, under different times, I’m sure my boy Spot will ate this dog park 4 out of 4 furry paws.
Fun time meeting new dogs if yall live in the area of Stillwater you may see or know this dog it was so cute and fun to play with my babies had a blast as well big yard to run around and play!!!
This park is decent, but nothing special. As others have stated, there are a couple mud puddles in the yard that are massive, especially with the significant amount of rain that Stillwater has received recently. If your dog is a lover of water, you might want to steer clear…check out attached video and you’ll see what I mean.🤣
