Nice little lake in the middle of van buren , good place to bring kids for play and picnic. There’s a walking trail and ducks it’s great for taking picture perfect nature scenes and graduation pictures. Nice little gems for the people of van buren and the river valley
Nice park but they need to add in stairs and wheelchair access for the trail walkway.. to steep to climb up the hill with bad knees and nonexistent for wheelchairs. The park has had some add additional features add to it, but it just looks like clutter and a waste of money. Money could have been better spent on things for the older and younger people. They removed the skate park and they never use the pools or pool house anymore. So much more could be done with this park and many others in Van Buren.
Great walking trails to accommodate all age groups.
Just be careful, sometimes people like to let their dogs off leashes with no respect for others. As well as some of the fishermen don’t care about the non-smoking signs.
Otherwise it’s a really pretty walk around
Well considering we have a nice body of water we cannot kayak in. could you just imagine if we had access with non motorized crafts. It’s perfect exercise, we could have races for community events, and all it would take is for the City to remove one sign and we can.
