Located in the heart of historic Van Buren, Arkansas, Van Buren Veteran Memorial Park offers a beautiful setting for reflection and recreation. Renowned for its moving tribute to local veterans, this park features carefully maintained memorials and inviting green spaces, making it a popular destination for visitors seeking both tranquility and community spirit.
While not a dedicated dog park, the park’s expansive lawns and clean environment make it a good spot for leashed walks with your four-legged companion. Families with kids will appreciate the playground area, and there are plenty of benches for owners to relax while their children play. If you are looking for a scenic, pet-friendly park in Van Buren, this memorial park offers a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
If you support your veterans I highly suggest visiting. I personally felt a deep feeling of thankfulness for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that I could enjoy the freedom that I have.
The new local veterans memorial is a much needed addition to Old Town Van Buren. I only wish that it could be bigger and have more notiriaty in the community. Those who serve us and who have served deserve to be treated like special citizenry and all local businesses should offer every available discount or service possible for those represented in this memorial park.
The kids always have a blast there! Its very clean and plenty of places to sit. Wish the splash pad area wasn’t so slick though. Still enjoy taking the kids up there!
Such a wonderful tribute to our military!
We found this on a evening walk after dinner on main street. Very nicely done memorial and park to honor our veterans. It reminds me of the Washington DC memorials on a local scale. Every town should have a memorial like this. There are benches to sit and reflect on what others have done to give us a country that is free. Thankyou to everyone who is or has served.
