I was going on a little vacation 2 weeks ago (for the first time in years!) and was very nervous leaving my 2 dogs because it’s just something we’ve never done. My Vet actually suggested McKenna Kennels, and I trust her advice without question. I have an American Bully who was a rescue dog and was so severely abused by her previous owner and she’s also an older dog who’s very attached to me. I was so afraid she’s be scared or traumatized if I left her anywhere. My other dog is a very active, energetic 7 month Olde English Bulldogge that needs constant play time, lol. I wasn’t sure how she’d do. As soon as we dropped them off, I saw how nice, clean and organized they were, and I knew they’d do a good job. I was so happy when I went to pick them up, and worried they’d be upset, or confused about why I left them. I thought they’d run into my arms, and be so relieved to be going home. My pup, Astrid wanted to stay, and my older girl acted like she’d been on her own vacation! It was so funny! It was clear they did an EXCELLENT job with both of them, and we were so happy with McKenna Kennels, we’re going on another mini vacation this weekend and feel more than happy to drop them off tonight! I’ve been so severely ill with Multiple Sclerosis for over 7 years, and was unable to do anything, or go anywhere for years. This was the first time I’ve been well enough to walk. I only mention that because being able to trust them with our dogs has allowed me to get out and live a little more with my family, and that’s such a blessing beyond measure. I’d recommend McKenna to anyone looking to board their dogs. They came back happier than when we left them!

First time ever bringing my girl to a kennel & she loved it there. Staff was friendly and it was easy to extend her stay when I experienced problems with my return flight.

Our babies actually had a great time. Instead of getting us, they wanted to say “bye” to everyone, before they would get in the car. I was very pleased.

Brought our dog in for a bath only.
Pros: They were able to get me in on short notice

Cons: The office could use some TLC, staff was rushed and paid little attention to our dog, my contact info was taken on scratch paper, I was not asked if my dog was up to date on her vaccines, after bath she was damp, and excess fur was coming off in clumps when I got her home. She was not thoroughly washed because her fur was still oily. Very disappointed.
