Nestled outside Shelton, Washington, Kennedy Creek Natural Area Preserve is a unique spot for nature lovers and dog owners looking for scenic, pet-friendly trails. Famous for its salmon runs by the creek, this area offers peaceful walks, beautiful sunset views, and a trippy terrain that both you and your canine companion will enjoy. Stretch your legs, soak in the quiet atmosphere, and bring your dog for a walk along these dog-friendly hiking trails.
While the area is more natural and less manicured than traditional dog parks, it’s a great place to take a break, get some good photos, and let your pup explore the Pacific Northwest’s beauty. Note that facilities are minimal and some pathways may be challenging—though there are also easy-access trails for less experienced hikers. Be mindful of natural debris and keep the park clean for everyone!
Great spot to take a break and stretch the legs get some good photos. Very peaceful and quiet

Really cool spot for a quick walk and sight seeing ! Throw a rock and watch the ground move !!
Awesome place to see salmon, if you go by the creek around this time you will most definitely see them!
I’ve never stopped here and decided to with my husband on our short trip back home to monte from oly … such a trippy lay of the land quite beautiful at sunset watch for human waste through it seems people think it’s a toilet everywhere there … if u find a trail that seems a little to hard trust me look a little bit more there is a trail thats easy peasy
