Off Leash Dog Beach is a unique, dog-friendly destination located near Butter Clam St SW in Ocean Shores, WA. This expansive sandy beach offers plenty of space for your four-legged friends to run freely and play off-leash, making it one of the most popular dog parks in Ocean Shores for those seeking a peaceful and scenic experience right on the Pacific coast. The tranquil atmosphere, with fewer crowds than typical tourist spots, allows for relaxed playtime with lots of friendly dogs and owners.
Visitors appreciate the soft sand—which is perfect for sensitive paws—and the ability to drive closer to the north entrance for easy access, especially for older dogs or those with limited mobility. The park isn’t fenced and there are no wash stations or restrooms, so plan to clean up your dog after a fun, sandy adventure. With a short walk from the dirt parking area and close proximity to Ocean Shores’ quintessential food stops and gift shops, Off Leash Dog Beach gives both pets and owners the perfect spot for oceanfront enjoyment and socialization.
Open part of the beach that’s friendly to dogs. It was really great but prepare for your dog to be really. Sandy and there is no wash off station or anything. You can go back out to a dirt parking lot so you will be taking home a very dirty dog
Kinda eerie as there was virtually no one there! But overall, I had a great experience and my Dog was ecstatic to have some beach time where it was sandy and his paws didn’t get hurt
It’s in Ocean Shores so there’s a lot of food stops and gift/toy shops although no a lot of people anymore so nice for peace and tranquility
Probably the coolest off leash dog park we’ve ever been to. Our English bulldog is getting old and he enjoyed walking on the soft sand. Nice people and dogs. Best part is we could drive out onto the beach from the north entrance, so our old guy didn’t need to walk far to get in.
Our first time taking our 12 year old dog to the ocean. She had a blast! You really need to know your dog is sociable as there were other free range pups running around. Luckily every one got along and wore each other out. This definitely makes us want to take her out for more adventures.
Today we found it to be a great place with great people and great dogs! Three downsides… 1. The walk was about 1/4 of a mile from the parking area to the beach. 2. No restrooms. 3. People from other beach access points driving too fast through where children and off-leash dogs were running and playing. (There is no vehicle access from this parking lot.?
