Mariposa Park offers local dog owners in Boise a spacious and well-maintained area to exercise their pets. The park features a designated enclosed dog park where dogs can run off-leash and socialize, making it an ideal spot for dog-friendly outings. The open green space and maintained grass provide ample room for fetch or just relaxing, while a concrete loop trail encircles the area, perfect for leashed walks and pet-friendly trails.
This community park is quietly nestled within a subdivision and frequented for its peaceful atmosphere and easy access. Shade trees offer some relief during sunny days, and there are a few picnic tables available for visitors. While the park is basic in amenities—lacking water fountains, restrooms (apart from a porta potty), dog poop bags, and playgrounds for kids—it remains a popular choice for Boise residents looking to enjoy outdoor time with their dogs in a safe, fenced environment. With convenient onsite parking, Mariposa Park stands out as a simple, dog-friendly destination in Boise, Idaho.
This park it basically open area and the grass is well maintained. There is a long trail the part taking you besides flowers and trees. I especially like the curly and regular whipping willow trees. There is a nice size dog park where you can take your fur babies to run and play. There are no playground areas for your young tykes to play on or any kind of equipment to keep them occupied. It’s a local community park.
A nice little dog park with some shade trees and a few picnic tables. Also nicely landscaped pond on the outside of the dog park as well as adequate parking. There’s even a porta potty.
Very peaceful and relaxing Park nestled in the back of a subdivision. There are walking trails, a dog park, and Wildlife viewing available by the creek. It was very peaceful and you wouldn’t even know it is right off the main road. The dog park has an enclosed area. The only downfall was no restroom but there is a porta potty available.
It’s a nice park. There a dog park too!
Just the parking lot is not big truck friendly.
A very bare bones little local park with fenced in dog run. It is severely lacking in trees and the “bug hotels” in this park make for annoying pests buzzing around the trail. Been bitten several times by bees and mosquitoes here. If I lived near a better park, I wouldn’t go here. But it has a large grass field good for activities and a concrete loop around the park. But very lacking in amenities, no playground for kids, no tables, no water fountains, no dog poop bags, and no restrooms.
The park also technically closes way too early, in the middle of summer it closes before it gets dark. But I’ve gone a little after dark due to the heat and never had a problem.
I just wish they’d get rid of the bug sanctuaries around the loop and put in more trees, especially in the field.
