Dog Park in Marsing, Idaho: Marsing Island Park

Marsing Island Park, nestled along the Snake River in Marsing, Idaho, offers a scenic destination for those seeking relaxation by the water, family outings, and fishing. While this park stands out for its stocked fishing pond, boat docks, plentiful picnic tables, and well-kept walking paths, it’s important for pet owners to note that dogs are not allowed in the main park areas, particularly near the children’s playground and public restroom facilities. Nice little place to fish or just spend time with family near the river. Outside of river fishing or boat access, you have a full park with playground and a smaller pond that is stocked with trout. Some of my pictures will show high river flooding. Because of the location it can be prone to it in the early spring.

Well after driving there with my little Westie dog from Kuna, I find out it’s a no dog park! I carry pick up stuff with me and water for him. I should have looked at reviews first. Soooo, Ollie had to stay in the truck. I met a nice 94 year old gentleman fishing there. It could be the fountain of youth by fishing there. He was sharp and knew fishing regulations well! God bless him. 🤗

Lots of picnic tables are available, and there are lots of different fishing spots, including decks to walk out on.. No dogs or swimming allowed on the side with the children’s playground with a nice big his and her bathroom 🚻 nearby. On the other side are a couple of boat docks to use and more picnic tables with a secluded spot to take dogs out for a potty break. Handicap accessibility ♿️ I took pictures of all the rules. No overnight camping allowed.
