Waggin Tails is a newer dog park in Star, Idaho, perfect for those seeking a clean, open space to let their dogs play and socialize. Conveniently located with ample open areas, this park is a favorite for dog owners looking for a pet-friendly space in Star. The park is fenced and features two separate sections, each with grassy hills and wood chip trails—great for energetic games like fetch.

Waggin Tails offers numerous amenities, making it a top choice among Star’s dog parks. You’ll find water fountains at various heights for adults, children, and dogs, as well as multiple poop stations, benches, and a shaded overhang (although current shade is limited due to newly planted trees). We went today to Waggin Tails because of all the strong reviews. The park was new and clean but small and hot. There wasn’t any shade areas to sit in because all the benches were in the direct sun. The park is only 2 years old so the trees are still small and do not offer much shade. I don’
t think we will be going back anytime soon.

Great park. Love that it is fenced in with only one gate makes it easier to keep track of all the little ones.

It is a great park. Subdivided into two separate sections. Each section has two grass hills surrounded by a river of wood chips. It is great to have these exaggerated hills for games like fetch. There are numerous dog poop stations, water fountains (adult, child, and dog heights!) and places to sit.

I saw a basket of tennis balls and a tool for throwing them, but I don’t know if those are provided by the park or a gracious citizen.

The park is wonderful but lately the care of this park is lacking. The new shade overhang is beautiful but is unfinished. All the posts are filling with water from the weather and the fence around the area is now open and ready to fall down. Please finish the project. It’s dangerous for the dogs running thru there they can fall in and break a leg. Thank you

This is a newer park with lots of very young trees. There is lots of open areas. This is a dog park so bring your fur babies to come and mingle with other dogs. On thing is they have serious playground equipment which is a nice mix for the younger children and the dogs to have a good time here.
