Beautiful. Great bike ride!
For what you pay for to rent the bikes. You definalty need to bring your own bike. I feel like for as many visitors that they get. You should at least be able to rent a decent bike. The bikes were rusted and squealing and the tires weren’t full of air and were very difficult to bike on. The trail though was very nice. For two hours my sister and I spent 28 dollars.

Sadly the county hasn’t kept it up!!
The nc side has a tin of cracks and roots coming through the asphalt making scooters skateboards and roller blades impossible!!!
The county really really needs to hold off on new 70k police vechles and maybe apply 250k to a resurface of this pathway b4 nature re claims it!!!

Great trail! There’s sections that are open and exposed to the main road. I ran on a Sunday morning, so there was not much traffic, but I could imagine louder on weekdays. There are plenty of birds, squirrels, and rabbits. Just under three miles of trails going north to rest area and state park headquarters.
