The marked parking lot only has short paved trail to a dead end. Not complete yet…kinda disappointing. Looks like more paved trail towards Holiday Inn…will try next time to see how long that one is…you can walk on dirt if you like!
This is a really nice place to get out and walk around. It’s not all that big, but there is a place to park your bikes and get off. Enjoy a nice stroll. It is really close to a hotel that has a path for walking down to.It would be great for the hotel visitors.
Super pretty spot in Wichita. We went in the spring when things were starting to bloom & it was gorgeous! More places to walk than just the bridges too. It was very peaceful when we went & a good way to get out of the city for a little bit!
Very nice wetlands. We just did the short walk across the bridge to a blind. But a very interesting vegetation. Looked like there may be a nature trail that we did not access. Looks like there are still plans for an extended boardwalk that and haven’t started.
I never knew about this place. Really kinda cool! Especially with all the waterlilies in such tiny place! Amazing! The area provides a place for the native birds and others creatures of the Kansas lands! It’s a nice place to just relax and enjoy the birds, fish, and flowers of the area!
