Duff Park is a scenic, dog-friendly park located in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, perfect for pet owners and families looking to enjoy the great outdoors. Known for its well-maintained, pet-friendly trails, this park offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful creeks and varying trail elevations, making it ideal for both casual walks and more adventurous dog-friendly hiking experiences. The trails are popular with local dog walkers, so you and your pup will have plenty of company while exploring the picturesque grounds.
Amenities at Duff Park include a picnic pavilion, picnic tables, a public restroom (porta potty), and wheelchair accessible parking and entrances, making it welcoming to everyone. While the main draw is its natural beauty and easy-to-moderate hiking paths, the park’s accessibility, family-friendly atmosphere, and central location just off School Road make it a convenient option for residents and visitors alike. Please note that parking can be limited at the main lot, but there are additional parking options nearby, including the Westmoreland Heritage Trail parking lot on Wm Penn Hwy.
Beautiful, peaceful park that’s not out of the way for a nature fix!
Great place to hike. Many level trail options
Fairly easy/casual hiking. There are several trails that cross each other. There is a parking lot, a pavilion, and a porta potty. Both Google Maps and Apple Maps have the correct address listed (School Road South) but took me to Round Top Road instead. If you struggle to find the lot Google Murrysville SportZone and Dek Hockey, the lot is just slightly further off route 22 and on the other side of the road as compared to that facility.
Great little park with enough trails and elevation for a good afternoon hike after work. As a note, if it just rained some during the day, most of the park is still very solid. If it rained two days in a row, expect a lot of mud.
Still a great park over a year after having moved here.
Beautiful park with a beautiful creek and clean, well-maintained trails. Some are an easy walk, and some are a little steeper. There are maps online that you can check out before you go so you don’t get lost. Parking lot is off School Road and a little small, but the trails can also be reached from the Westmoreland Heritage Trail parking lot on Wm Penn Hwy. Very popular place to hike, so you never feel alone even when on the upper trails – lots of families and dog walkers on the trails.
