One of my favorite places around. The waterfalls that are off the main trail are the true focus of this area. There’s actually 3 of them If you keep walking deeper you find more. Makes for a great day trip
Beautiful with no official trail to get you there. Perfect.
The hike to the falls was challenging but amazing. The falls were beautiful and a wonderful experience ❤️
Beautiful falls! And a nice, deep swimming hole. My fiancé and I went when it was raining and we had the place to ourselves! It was a bit challenging to find so for future reference: take the upper trail and then you’ll have to climb down a steep area once you get to the falls. We took the lower trail, got stuck by cliffs, then went back up, then realized we had to go back down. A few worthwhile detours— but hopefully others can learn from our mistakes!
The waterfall can be tricky to get to. You actually have to park at the Rock Furnace trail and walk a little ways until you see a sign next to a bench. The trail back to the falls is along the path through the woods. It’s not too far from the trail. The waterfall is very unique. It’s actually a double waterfall with 2 waterfalls side by side. It’s truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend visiting and checking out the falls as well as the rest of the trail. There’s a lot of photo opportunities along the trail with different smaller waterfalls and also a swinging bridge further down the trail.
