If you’re searching for a dog park in Gap, Pennsylvania, Salisbury Township Community Park is a welcoming, pet-friendly destination for locals and visitors alike. Conveniently situated at 750 White Horse Rd, this community park is known for its open spaces, scenic walking paths, and dog-friendly atmosphere. With easy access and plenty of room to roam, it’s a popular option for dog owners seeking a casual spot to enjoy some fresh air with their pups.
The park features a secure, wide-open dog area—perfect for letting your furry friend run free in a safe environment. While there isn’t much natural shade, dog owners can find jugs of water for pets and a small shed with communal dog toys. The park is well maintained and offers multiple amenities for the whole family, including picnic areas, baseball and basketball courts, playgrounds, and wheelchair accessible facilities.
Great park, nice ball fields. Pickleball courts are new
Very nice park to have a company picnic
Some signs saying no dogs allowed, others say dogs on this side of the creek only. But also- there’s a small dark park which is nice. Confusing. Generally speaking, it’s outrageous that a public park tries to limit dog walking. Shame on you!
We visited this lovely dog park on a hot summer day. It is secure and a wide open space with even a few toys to be shared. There is jugs of water to be given to the dogs. The only drawback was there was absolutely no shade. The small shed where the water & toys was was hotter than the outside. Maybe a few trees would be a nice addition. The rest of the park was beautiful and well maintained.
The best thing about this park is the vicinity, it’s very close to home which means it’s easy to swing by and not feel bad if I don’t spend a long time. I really only use the little skating rinks that are available as I’m learning how to Roller Skate. The downside is that neither of the rinks are very well kept. One is also used for basketball (and is by far the one in worse shape for skating).
If you’re like me and you’re wanting to learn how to Roller Skate or get started outdoors, it’s not a bad place. It’s rarely ever busy and you can have the entire rink to yourself most times. But just beware that these rinks seem like they’ve never been maintained and are definitely not flat or free from debris. The rest of the park seems nice as well, have done a walk around and enjoy it. Nice path, bikes and dogs aren’t allowed on it so you don’t have to feel pressured or rushed.
Overall it’s a nice little park, definitely recommend giving it a try! Has nice (and unused every time I’ve been there) Tennis Courts too.
