Sweet spot and shaded, love the wildlife in plainview
This place as someone that grew up in Kingstree looks better then no it has in b many years I enjoyed great job Kingstree!
One important thing that KINGSTREE needs badly: a safe place to walk without fear of falling or tripping. As a senior citizen here, it’s hard if not impossible to walk anywhere without fear of falling because of broken and uneven sidewalks and streets. That is a major detriment to the citizens of KINGSTREE to enhance overall health and well being. I hope that this park will pursue creating a safe place for its senior citizens to walk as well as all of those who appreciate nature.
Our local park. It’s a small boat landing, a fishing spot, a picnic area, and a swimming hole…and it’s all free.
Gilland Memorial Park is one of those hidden gems, simple but elegant in a rustic style. Awesome views, and exceptionally kept. The whole experience was tranquil and peaceful. I will be back to visit, but next time, I’ll bring a fishing rod.
There is a small children’s playground.
The downside is, there isn’t a restroom on site.
But, there is plenty of picnic areas.
