Located in the heart of Hamburg, NY, the Hamburg Dog Park—also known as Hamburg Town Bark Park—is a top choice for dog owners seeking a spacious, clean, and well-maintained spot for their pets. Opened in 2012 thanks to local community support, this off-leash park spans several acres, offering designated, fully fenced areas for both large and small dogs. Wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances make it welcoming for everyone. With amenities like secure fencing, benches, waste stations, water fountains for humans and dogs, and plenty of shade, it’s no wonder this is a go-to destination for pet-friendly adventures in Western New York.
Visitors love the thoughtful design—separate sections for small and big dogs, agility equipment, shady spots, and ample seating let owners relax while pups play and socialize. Regular community events, dog training classes, and social meet-ups foster a strong sense of community. With ample free parking, on-site bathrooms, a nearby groomer, and a reputation for cleanliness and safety, Hamburg Dog Park is a hub for both Hamburg locals and visitors exploring dog-friendly hiking, pet-friendly trails, and outdoor fun with their four-legged friends.
Excellent place to take the dog. The area is divided for large and small dogs. Only problem is the gate along the back of the small dog park needs to be blocked somehow due to the space of the gate being over 10 inches. They have a piece of pipe there, but it falls down and it’s not always put back up. Otherwise, the place is great.
