Reviews
A dog park that you have to register for and pay a subscription? Just about the dumbest thing I’ve heard of… Take a look at Ithaca, their dog park is bigger, better maintained, more populated with other dogs, and best yet, there is not a single fee for using it. Donation box, which I have used multiple times because they do such an awesome job, but no fees. It’s a shame because I live closer to the Geneva park, but worth the extra 15min in the car to enjoy the red-tape-free, bigger, and nicer park that Ithaca has to offer.
This is a great place to bring your dog for a run, I’ve been coming since February. The park is generally populated by friendly people and dogs who love to run and play with others. It’s a great atmosphere for socializing and I’d recommend it to anyone. You do have to register at the Geneva town hall, and there is a nominal fee to get a door code. But it’s something that pays for itself in clean, well maintained grounds and days of fun.
Just discovered this charming little dog park, not far from our house. Perfect walking distance from anywhere downtown. I like how there are two separate sections of the park, one side for bigger dogs, one side for smaller pups. Good idea for safety purposes. Nice wooden gazebo out front, a place for those without dogs to sit and just enjoy the view, as we did that day. Highly recommend to any and all pup owners!
Disappointment that this is the only local dog park and it’s not welcoming to tourists. Not even a prorated admission – just straight up ? for the 4 days we’d be here. Shame. Town not nearly as dog-friendly as other tourist towns we’ve visited.
Really seriously disappointed. You have a beautiful Park system in this area and yet you go to a dog park to socialize your animal and it’s smaller than some people’s kitchens or living room. But being compliant like I am I followed the signage which told me that I needed to register my dog at City Hall. I went down there and everyone was nice enough however they wanted to charge me NULL to utilize this insufficient and quite frankly embarrassment for a dog park in a town of this size. Now mind you I’m only going to be here for several days visiting for Thanksgiving yet they want to charge me 60 bucks to let my dog walk around a small pen areaNULL.! I do like the fact however that they are controlling who utilizes the dog park and make sure that they’re registered and have their tags but to what point when everyone is walking their dogs around regardless. I can’t imagine that many people must use this or pay this fee for this tiny little muddy patch of ground that’s surrounded by a fence? I’m just leaving this review cuz I’m hoping somebody in charge of the city or town sees this and realizes that maybe they need to stop over there and take a look at what’s going on because it’s just not up to par.
