Spring Lake Park offers a dog-friendly experience in Penfield, NY, making it a popular destination for local pet owners seeking open spaces to enjoy with their dogs. The park features a wide, sunny field and a small creek where dogs can play and cool off, as well as amenities such as picnic tables, public restrooms, and a playground for children close by. Parking is available onsite, and the park is wheelchair accessible, ensuring convenience for all visitors.
A key aspect to note is that the designated dog park area at Spring Lake Park is unfenced, requiring owners to keep a close eye on their pets. While there are ON-leash signs posted, reviews indicate that some visitors may allow their dogs off-leash, so responsible pet handling is important. The park’s suitability for both kids and pets, combined with its accessible amenities and green spaces, makes it a favorite for local families and dog lovers alike.
Nice small community park; playground 🛝 for children; baseball field ⚾️ dogs are allowed in park 🐕 🐶
Dog poop all over the place, including the kids play ground, owners treating dogs as kids and “Oh, I’m sorry he’s trained!” as they jump up on my wife barking, and chase my kids. There is an ON leash sign, but dog owners think their pet is a kid and ignore everything and take no responsibility.
No trails. Playground and a baseball field with some open green spaces. Bathrooms available. There is an unfenced dog park at the far end of the park.
Best dog park we have been to in Rochester. There’s a little creek they can play in and a huge field that gets a lot of sun. Nice parking lot there that you have to drive into far enough away from the road.
What a fantastic experience for my little Husky and me. Thanks to all for kindness shown to a first timer. Special shout-outs to Diesel and Misha!
