Peaceful place! Many lovely views, both paved as well as rustic trails. We come here often and never tire of the beauty here.
You have to try the dam trail at least once during late afternoon close to sunset the view is spectacular! Parking lot for that trail is just off of rte 6, east of the airport.
Great park. Many miles of hiking trails and wonderful paddling opportunities. Always very clean. One down side is you can’t swim in the lake. The power lines that run through the park are a little bit of a bummer but don’t take away from it much. Great wildlife from a kayak! I saw a beaver, deer, and several great blue herons.
beautiful park lots of natural areas and trails to walk around on
Great place to go kayaking! It does get a bit crowded at times.
Took the paddleboards here for the 1st time, and it was glorious because the water was so flat and fun to paddle on. Lita of parking. Porta potties at end of parking lot. Boat launch easy to access. Lots of people fishing and kayaking. We used our inflatable SUPs.
