Great walking experience. Nice views down by the river. There are side stops in the trail for scenic viewing.
Small park with a trail along a river
Great for a walk with or without a dog
Nice for a walk, a Bike ride with littleones . Paved path around park(not big), and some not. Has places to rest and sit by the water, fish or splash around with kids.
No bathroom, no playground.
A lovely walk through the woods.. a rushing river to walk alongside.. (Kayak Or Canoe next time) Dog friendly on a leash.. people were nice along the way.. and if you walk up the wooded hill to the left of the water… You find yourself at the railroad tracks where we just walked.. quiet.. fresh air.. red shoulder hawk spotted.. I didn’t realize the train still ran.. found that out when we finished our walk… 🚂 A very nice adventure indeed.😎
This park has some lovely views along the Willimantic River. Just up Merrow Rd over the bridge crossing the river, right turn on Riverside Drive, at the corner is another lovely trail which goes north on the river. Combine the two for a nice outing.
