Village Green is a picturesque and well-kept public park ideally located in the heart of Bar Harbor, Maine. Known for its clean walkways, lush flower gardens, and inviting benches, the Village Green offers a scenic spot to relax while exploring downtown with your dog. The park’s central location also makes it a great meeting point and a convenient rest stop, especially if you’re waiting for the Acadia National Park shuttle buses, which stop right at the park.
Dog owners will appreciate the pet-friendly atmosphere—dogs are welcome, and there are plenty of paved paths for easy strolls. The park features a charming gazebo (sometimes with public piano performances!), ample shade, and plenty of seating where you and your pet can unwind. Public restrooms are available across the street, and the park is wheelchair accessible, making it welcoming for all visitors. A beautiful park with awesome views of Bar Harbor. This area is so clean and well kept. Lot’s of flower gardens, very picturesque!
Beautiful park. Great meeting place if you’re wandering around downtown with a large group. Also the site of the bus stop for various buses is going into Acadia National Park. There are also a set a very nice, clean bathrooms located here. The park has plenty of benches and interesting things to look at, too. Beautiful! Five stars!
My favorite part about this park is the piano in the gazebo. Listening to people come and play freely is so nice to hear. The walkways are clean, and lined with flowers. It is such a relaxing little area in the middle of town.
Went for music in the park. The band was great! The patrons paraded around the band, marching and dancing to the beat. Other spectators dance in place or sat back and enjoyed the music. I was disappointed it ended before 9 as it was advertised to play till 9. Still enjoyed at least 4 songs before they packed it up. Great free community event! There was also an artist painting in the park.
There is a public piano under the gazebo, and we were lucky enough to hear a talented young man go to town on this. The park has many benches, and it is clean and well-kept. There are public bathrooms directly across the street. The Acadia National Park shuttles pick up and drop off here.
