Great place for sledding.
Wonderful place for kids to go sledding and just a great way for family and friends to connect!
This place is a hidden gem. at least it was hidden to me until I took a class there and discovered the museum, the beautiful trails, and the outstanding new building for lectures and classes. It’s 45 min drive from Belfast and I will do the beautiful drive anytime for good classes, and just take a nice walk.
What a really great family oriented event during the holiday season. As you drive up; the driveway is decorated with glowing ornaments. The courteous parking staff safely parks you and make sure that everyone can walk safely across the parking spot. They were really friendly and talkative. You are greeted once through the entrance with a selfie station and hot chocolate. There is a donation table (NULL per family suggested). The trail is very easy and nicely manicured. The lights are fantastic. It took about 15-20 minutes to walk the trail. Take your time and look for snoopy. He is hanging around in the woods somewhere. We also got 3-d glasses that gives a snowing effect. Really fun!
These trails butt up to the RV park we are staying at. Very quiet! Beautiful wooded area with moss, mushrooms, pine, big rocks, awesome trees, a pond, and family tomb. Lots of bugs!!!
