The park is huge. My dog loves the lake. My only complain is that the grass is not cut in the entire park (after the trees), so you can walk on that part only in the spring or late fall.

Need to get the gate fixed or this would have been 5 atar review! This is such a wonderful place for the dogs to play, make friends and run!!! The portable restroom is kept pretty clean and they offer free bags to pick up the dog poo too!

Best NULL fee we probably paid this year. This is a large dog park with a good sized pond, BIG open mowed lawn and a back area with more natural grassland. Great space for our dog to run and have had great interactions with other dogs.
Couple notes: they have a good shade area by the entrance with tables, but there isn’t any water so make sure to bring your own. No restrooms available. The background noise is a bit loud as it’s next to the highway.

I have been taking my dog here since late February. My dog absolutely loves this park because it is 44 acres huge. He is able to run free in the field, play with other dogs, go for a dip in the pond, and go on a walk with me on the trail there. Every dog parent that I have encountered there is also friendly and responsible for their dog, making this place even more welcoming. You do need to pay the forest preserve a NULL membership and a key for the park, but it is well worth it to see my dog get so excited wherever we park in the lot.
