The Boone County Dog Park, located at 5550 Idlewild Rd in Burlington, Kentucky, is one of the area’s most popular pet-friendly destinations. With five spacious, fully fenced sections—including two for small dogs, two for large dogs, and an agility training area—this park offers plenty of room for dogs of all sizes to run, play, or practice their skills. The layout allows you to move to another area if your dog needs more space or if you want to avoid crowded sections, making it especially accommodating for nervous pups or those that need extra socializing.
This dog park stands out for its convenient amenities: water fountains catered to thirsty pups, picnic tables for relaxing, and various agility equipment for active dogs. It’s also wheelchair accessible and family-friendly, with plenty of parking and seating for pet owners. Adjacent to dog-friendly hiking and walking paths, the Boone County Dog Park combines fun, exercise, and beautiful views—perfect for a day out in Burlington with your furry friend.
Very nice dog park. Areas for large and small dogs, and an agility course.
Great park, only one bad thing the water fountain in one area is hard to fill a bowl. If your dog likes to lap up water from a stream your all good. There are multiple large areas for all dogs. If your dog isn’t getting along with another you can easily enjoy a separate large area.
I really liked the fact that there’s 5 different sections. 2 small dog areas,2large dog areas & 1 agility training area. They have turned on the water fountains for the dogs to get a drink.
This is one of my favorite dog parks. I always let my pup run off extra energy here before or after we hike the walking paths at the human park next door. There are 4 different fenced off sections all right next to each other, so if any section is getting too crowded you can pop your pup over to the next one. Or if you have a new pup who is testing the waters, having his own space and fence between him and others is a great way to start.
I love going to the dog park. It has so many sections with so much room. Fountains for dogs. Beautiful views.
