Beautiful park in downtown Evansville with looming trees and a well kept lawn. The park was mostly clear of trash and debris. The many trees offered shade and a calm walking environment. Lovely to stroll through.

Such a lovely park with lots of grass and space and massive, mature trees with their shade. I can’t understand why Mickey’s Kingdom gets all the traffic! I love Bayard and so do my kids. The playground is towering. The only things that would make it better are more kids and a merry-go-round.

Good place to walk your dogs, take your kids to meet up with people, and have birthday party 🥳. Don’t suggest going at night.

The playground for this park is centrally located, so if you want your kids to have plenty of room to run around without concern for traffic, this is amazing. It does look like some trash pick up and other maintenance could be done, but I don’t see anything that looks “unsafe.”

There are several picnic benches scattered around. Also, a whole lot of shade trees, and street parking all around except for out by the main road.

I am 4‘11“ and I have gone up and come down the playground tower, no issues, and I am an adult! Well, at least according to my birthdate. 🙂 If you have never used a playground as an adult to accomplish your exercise and stretching, I definitely recommend it, it is very entertaining and functionally useful. Also free. Let’s not forget that.

If you need to use the restroom here, I recommend the nearby library.

All things considered, I think I prefer this to Mickey’s Kingdom park. I don’t like splinters!

The equipment and grounds are excellent. I mean everything looks fairly new and the park itself is really nice; however, I would never recommend taking a child here. There were homeless people every where. I had my nephew and he found where someone had been living near one of the slides at which point I told him we’re going to leave now…
