My little dog & I enjoy walking the trails of SNAKEY POINT in Oakland City, IN. The sunsets are beautiful. The trails are well maintained. Great place to go for meditation, relaxation or lots of exercise.

There is something here in this refuge for all outdoor enthusiasts. The Patoka River flows through portions of this area and is great for kayaking. There are acres of wetlands that are great for birding. Trails through many areas include bottomland hardwood forests. It is very well managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Awesome place to get away and connect with nature. Great hiking trails. Loved all the wild flowers.
