Located in the heart of Rockport, Indiana, Rockport City Park is a family-friendly and dog-friendly destination perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and local pet owners alike. This spacious public park welcomes dogs and offers plenty of green space to roam, making it a great spot for leisurely walks with your pup on pet-friendly trails, birthday gatherings, picnics, or community events.
What sets this park apart is its clean, well-maintained environment, large shaded areas with benches under majestic trees, and wheelchair accessibility throughout the facility, including entrances and parking lots. There are also barbecue grills, a baseball field, basketball court, playgrounds with slides and swings, a swimming pool, restrooms, and ample open space. It’s an excellent choice for families and people looking for a welcoming park to enjoy with their dogs in Rockport.
Excellent park. Has everything, even a tank!
The area it’s nice, quiet , clean , the only downside it is the playground, it is old school you can see some welding in the slides and it is a little bit dangerous for the kids. They need to change the whole playground and bring something new and better.
Fun course. Tee boxes are really short so you can’t run up on your drives but aside from that the course is well maintained and easy to navigate. You have to be careful with people walking in the park and the walking paths as they overlap with some of the fairways. Holes are shorter than a lot of courses but there are a lot of trees you have to avoid with low canopies.
The park is always clean and well maintained. There are plenty of benches to sit in the shade of the huge beautiful trees while kids can play on the various slides, swings, and playground structures. Also lots of open space for outdoor events, a community center, separate building for restrooms, a swimming pool, and walking track. I really enjoy this park when I need a change of pace.
Pretty darn neat. Gotta go back when it’s open. Who knew the place has A SEASON? This out of towner sure didn’t.
