The state park is close to the town of New Harmony. I loved this little town. It can offer a romantic get away but also is just a quaint little town to visit. The park offers great trails with plenty of scenic back drop. Pro tip, pack good bug spray and some vanilla spray products for the mosquitos and bugs. They are plentiful there.
The cabins were perfect to keep the mosquitoes away. Very comfortable. Pack as if you were tent camping.
Really enjoyed camping at this park. Quiet and relaxing, All of the other campers in area we camped in were very friendly and great to have conversations with. Great place, but don’t forget your insect repellent. Don’t forget to check out the historical town of New Harmony while you’re there. Rent a golf cart, check out the town . $ 30 two hours plenty of time to look around.
Great place to camp, Hike, and MTB. highly recommend! One of the best Indiana State Parks I have been too
Had a great weekend camping. We were in a camper, so we were pretty much out of the elements. No water hookup that i could see, but water I’d available. It rained and was really hot, but we made the best of it. There are several playgrounds and plenty of trails to walk. The bathrooms/ showers were clean and the water was warm. We had a nice shaded lot. There is no cell service here!!!
