Nice little park. Mostly open field (soccer nets set up at the time off this writing) with baseball diamond and midsize playground. Beware that the toilets are quite distant from the playground and the fountain in the playground seems to be unfit to drink (water kids consistently cloudy), probably doesn’t get used enough but I wasn’t able to run it clear I a reasonable amount of time. Also note that it is right adjacent to a moderately busy road.

Update 5/10/2025. Soccer nets were change for new ones!

Today I got a rare glimpse inside of the 1713 East Jersey Cottage restoration. The cottage was obtained by the Cranbury Historical Society and moved across the street to property owned by the Township using largely donated funds.

It is still under restoration inside but the current state allows for a better understanding of both how the original home was constructed as well as how various owners have modified it to accommodate changes in living conditions over the the intervening three centuries.

This preservation is a wonderful resource for both historians and those people interested in traditional woodworking and stone working techniques.
