Nice spot with a little grass for my dog. Not big but impressive that there was a 9/11 exhibit. The highlight of Gila Bend for sure.
This was an unexpected treat and honor to visit this 9/11 memorial site that the town of Gila Bend put together. What a unique story that the average person is not privy to on how they were able to get a crucial piece of our American history. I was moved and felt proud to be an American. Thank you, Gila Bend, for sharing your town’s story with us. 💯
We just happened to be driving through and I happened to see the sign and piece out of the corner of my eye. We immediately turned around. I couldn’t not go see it. 9/11 changed my life forever, as it did the lives of everyone around the world. I couldn’t pass up a chance to pay my respects.
For those of us who were involved with people in New York that day, this memorial was a surprise! Just seeing a small part of the building brings back a flood of memories of that event. I thought Gila Bend did a beautiful job in the design of the memorial and when you pass through this wonderful town, take a few minutes to stop at the 911 Memorial. Thank you to all who made this possible!
