Countryside Dog Park is a hidden gem for dog lovers in Mesa, Arizona. This conveniently located park offers plenty of open space for your furry friends to socialize and play, alongside amenities like shaded areas, picnic tables, and a clean restroom. Known for its chill, welcoming vibes and friendly regulars, the park is a favorite spot for pet owners wanting a relaxing day out. It’s also wheelchair accessible and features a playground, making it an ideal destination for both families and dogs.
While the park is on the smaller side, visitors appreciate its peaceful atmosphere, hilly areas for hanging out, and the adjacency to kid-friendly amenities such as slides and swings. Please be mindful that there may not be water fountains for dogs—bringing your own water is recommended, especially during Arizona’s hot summers. Additionally, current updates (as of May 2024) indicate periodic closures for maintenance, so checking ahead before visiting is wise.
No water for the dogs so plz bring tljr own water or a 5 gallo. To fill up Bowles specially during this heat
Love this chill little dog park. 😊 🐶
Stopped by Countryside to switch it up and had a great time playing with my dog. It’s a smaller park but there is still a lot of room. I had been previously but that last time I didn’t notice that there is a little hillside that you can hang out on more toward the streetlight, which I loved.
When I went the other day, I noticed a future closed for maintenance warning so just know, it will be closed from mid May to July and lists two addresses with alternate locations, which I thought was super helpful.
We will stop by again when you re-open! 🐶 🎾
Nice little park and nice people. Just beware there is a current giardia outbreak there at the dog park. Today is May 18th – I was there last week and at vet today with my dog. She said there is an outbreak there and at Cosmos park.
Hidden gem alert! Countryside Park is like that chill friend who doesn’t ask for much but always makes your day better. Plenty of open space to walk the dog (ours loved it), toss a frisbee, or just vibe in nature. The playground is clean and safe, great for kids—and adults who still like to swing, no judgment.
It’s got shaded areas, picnic tables, and just enough peace and quiet to clear your head. Perfect spot to escape the chaos without driving to the middle of nowhere. Bonus points for clean restrooms and friendly regulars. Definitely coming back.
It’s great, but it would be better if EVERYONE picked up their dog’s poop. Also, if your male has Balls, watch him due to aggression possibilities. If your female is IN HEAT, leave the poor sweetie at home. It’s distressing to watch a dog have to fend off breeding. People are the nicest ever here. Weekends have a different vibe.
