🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions

This neighborhood dog-friendly park in Phoenix, Arizona allows you to bring your pet to enjoy some fresh air and the surrounding pet-friendly trails. While not a traditional fenced dog park, dogs are permitted as long as they remain on-leash. The park is conveniently wheelchair accessible and is considered good for kids, making it suitable for a pet-friendly family outing.
Please note, the area is not fenced and is close to a busy street, so leashes are required at all times. This small green space is best for a quick walk with your dog, rather than for off-leash play. Always confirm park regulations and entrance guidelines during your visit as signage may be limited and rules might change.
No fenced area.
I live in the neighborhood and by no stretch of the imagination would I call this a ‘dog park’. It’s a park, and you can have your dog there, ON A LEASH, since there is no fence and you are just a few feet from a very, very busy road. I can’t remember the last time I actually saw someone in this park.
This dog park is private. I was unaware until I got there and was playing with my dog and happened to notice the faded sign while on the trail that circles the park. There were no signs posted on the street. It’s a nice, small park, but there’s no fence. No one approached me but I left after seeing the sign.
