40 acre rock is much more than the rock itself. It is millions of years of history, waterfalls, creeks, old bridges, ponds, and much more. It is such a little-known spot but one of the best places South Carolina has to offer.

God’s wonderful creations!! Was mostly very clean, very nice hiking!! Not crowded, saw 1 person, but heard a few people talking at times. I will be back after a good rain; there was no flow of water. Free to visit!

Great quick hike. Some elevation changes. Very small waterfall but quiet and secluded. Little found a love crawdad in the creek and thought it was awesome. Great place for dogs. Not crowded (at least on a weekday).

Beautiful in early spring when there’s interesting growth and pools. Devoid of color now but still a great place to hike and enjoy some solitude.

This place is magical. Explore the side trails and paths. There is so much more than meets the eye
