Great location for a photo shoot. Large and spacious area with all commodities you could want at a park. Playground, soccer field, large parking lot, lots of green open spaces, trees, flowers, and nearby to the ice skating rink.

I remember back in the early 2000’s this park was more public and less private. I remember we helped raise millions of dollars to be able to have a local turf field for the residents to play soccer on, but it is now privatized until 2034. What a disgusting organization the Girsh park has become.

Wonderful community/neighborhood park and sports fields. The park is run as nonprofit to serve the needs of local residents. They have a number of baseball fields, soccer fields, restrooms, and picnic tables and a small community center, basketball courts, and a playground . The Goleta Lemon Festival is also held here. It is a wonderful resource for the local community and is enjoyed by thousands of children during the various sporting seasons. They have free parking but it can be difficult to find parking during peak usage.

Great park in Goleta. It’s always well-kept and clean. It’s perfect for walking your dog or simply relaxing reading a book on a bench.
If you’re in a sports mood, you could play basketball or soccer. During the weekend you could watch Little League baseball games.

This is an okay park. When it first opened many years ago it was much nicer. one could walk the entire park and enjoy a lovely open area. Today large amounts of the park are fenced off for soccer games. If there are no games, these areas remain locked away and cannot be used by park visitors. All the fences, empty areas, and locks give an unfriendly atmosphere.

It’s a disappointing use of space for the general public. It can be difficult to even take a walk around the park due to fencing and no access. The fields at times may flood.

Generally at least one of the restrooms is open for use and there are some picnic tables, a playground, and basketball hoops.

There is a nice area along the creek reserved for nature. Parking is generally available.

Would like to see the park opened up so the public can better enjoy it for informal recreation, picnics, family gatherings, dog walking and other friendly activities.
