This has to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in the US by far!! Lush, scenic, stunning, full of life – a trail along the rim of this gorgeous state park. An absolute must do if you are driving through or staying in Ohio!! STUNNING!! 😳 🔥 🌲

Went to Hocking Hills on a Monday in October. Conkle’s Hollow wasn’t in my plan, but saw its description at the Visitor Center and it was just a 7 minute drive away, so went for it. There’s a nice pathway built out from the trailhead to the main cave and it was a 1.5-mile roundtrip walk for me. There’s also a rim trail that overlooks everything but I didn’t do it because I don’t think I would have seen the cave from it.

Very cool deep canyon and overlook trail around it.
Parking lot is right at the entrance to the canyon.
Wide concrete-made walkway half of the trail, then good trail to the dead-end with waterfall.
Definitely worth to visit. 1h max time to spend there.

Beautiful location, and well designed to make it accessible to those with mobility needs. Pathways are paved or boardwalk almost the whole way into the Hollow. Benches and interpretive signs along the way provide places to rest and information about your surroundings.
The cliffs gradually close in on you the farther you go, eventually the paved access trail ends and you will have to step over rocks and water to get to the waterfall at the end.
Plan footwear accordingly, your feet may get wet if you go past the paved path.
This is a preserve and dogs are not allowed, please stay on designated paths.
