Very beautiful surroundings. Restrooms on site. But appears to be mostly for those that have boats. We sat in our car and had lunch here. Didn’t notice any benches or tables.
You can fish from the bank or take your boat out on the lake. I wanted to take the dogs to location where we can walk. Its small and quiet it have picnic tables, trash cans, plenty spots to fish. Good spot!
After recent rain, the river was flooded and much of the outer periphery of the park was under water. There is a sign here saying restrooms are at the fire station nearby, The dam nearby was rather inundated from the high waters,
What an unforgettable day paddling down the Ocmulgee River! We launched our paddle boards from the boat ramp off Georgia 83 and made our way all the way down to Juliette Park — such a peaceful and scenic stretch of the river. The water was calm, the current gave us a nice push, and the tree-lined banks made for some incredible views along the way.
We were out there celebrating our friend Michelle’s birthday with a fun crew, and it couldn’t have been a better setup. We packed coolers, played music, and even stopped at a few sandbars to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The vibe was all good energy and nature.
The takeout at Juliette Park was super convenient, with plenty of space to regroup and load back up. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced on the board, this route is a solid choice for a half-day river trip. Highly recommend it for a group outing or special occasion. Happy birthday again, Michelle — we’ll definitely be doing this one again! 🏞️🎉🛶
