Herty Pines Dog Park, conveniently located on Bee Rd near Daffin Park, is a favorite spot for local dog owners in Savannah, Georgia. This expansive, well-maintained dog park features plenty of room for dogs of all sizes to run off-leash and socialize beneath beautiful, towering pine trees—making it a true dog-friendly haven in the city. With both large and small dog areas available, it accommodates all breeds and sizes for a safe and enjoyable visit.
Visitors will appreciate amenities like benches, picnic tables, and agility equipment for playful pups. There are multiple entry gates, and two water fountains are available, ensuring your dog stays hydrated on warm days. The park is fenced for safety, wheelchair accessible, and centrally located, making it easy for pet owners to include it in their local pet-friendly adventures around Savannah.
This park is great and was totally unexpected for us. Large, has trees, water sources, activity items, many gates…. The dogs were friendly. So very well maintained. Would definitely come back there again.
Great place to let your dog run free and even get a chance to relax yourself. The dogs can burn off some energy while you sit at a picnic table read, drink a beverage or whatever.
Big park for the dogs to run, the scenery is beautiful with the huge pine trees. There’s sometimes the Banana’s game, and the parking space becomes non existent. I like taking the dogs because is a huge enclosed space for big Goldendooles. Now with the “upgrades” they did, the ground was scraped, and there’s so much dust!! It seems like the tub was not to their liking, and it was removed. Awful, awful, dusty place.
Lots of space to run your dog around, and a majority of the people I’ve met there are wonderful as well. The only downside is that it gets very muddy very quickly when it rains, and there is nowhere to rinse your dog off before leaving the park.
I love this park. It’s central to a lot of places. Right next to Daffin Park so when the Bananas play you’ll get stadium updates as the park is literally behind it. Parking may be tough so just prepare to maybe walk a ways. It’s a big park compared to a few other parks around the area. The only downside are the deep holes I’m sure a few pups have dug up so be careful walking around. They have agility training equipment, benches and two water fountains for the pups. There is a small section for the smaller pooches too.
