Kokua Park, conveniently located off Burdeck Dr in Oakland, is a welcoming green space known for its accessible walkways and beautiful hillside of flowers. Thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers, Kokua Park has transformed from an underused space into a vibrant community destination.
The park features a wheelchair accessible entrance and is open to children and dogs, making it an excellent choice for an outing with the whole family. This well used walkway and bikeway along the 13 was once an eyesore has been transformed to a hillside of flowers. This space is only possible because of the hard work and effort of volunteers. When you see people working the area, say thanks and maybe lend a hand. Hopefully, the City can also do their share of upkeep.
