Nice, Clean Spacious Park! Plenty of clean space, grass and benches. Two play structures for the kids and a big grass area for sports and a picnic. Not much shade. But overall great for the family

Was very nice. Locals playing chess, small combo of musicians and a singer. People gather and talk , children playing, and families enjoying each other. Very refreshing and warm feeling if community. Although I was just a stranger and resting , they smiled and chatted as if I were their neighbor.
This is a lovely neighborhood park with a place for youngsters (and adults) to gather and a fairly well-kept grassy area to play baseball or soccer or Frisbee, or just hang out. Also, some seating is available.
Washington Park is also home to Head Start which is fenced off from the larger area. When you come, PLEASE clean up after yourselves so we can keep this neighborhood treasure clean.
