Hap Magee Ranch Dog Park is a beloved local destination for dog owners looking for a safe, fun, and well-maintained outdoor space. Conveniently located in Alamo, CA, this dog park features separate areas for small and large dogs, multiple water stations, plenty of seating, and shaded spots for relaxation. With both soft green grass and bark, the park provides an inviting environment for dogs to run, play, and socialize while owners can unwind on benches and enjoy the scenic surroundings.
The park is wheelchair accessible and offers ample amenities for families, including a playground, picnic tables, barbecue grills, public restrooms, and easy access to pet-friendly trails. A highlight for visitors is the small agility course on the large dog side, which adds an extra layer of excitement for playful pups. Although parking can fill up on busy weekends, Hap Magee Ranch Dog Park remains a top choice for East Bay residents seeking a well-kept, dog-friendly oasis in the Alamo area.
Danville’s Dog Park is outstanding with two areas depending on the size of your dog.
Well maintained and good parking.
Little water park in back of park awesome.
Also a jungle gym on other side of water
Went to Danville for a event. I needed a park to let my dogs run free to get them somewhat tired. This park came up. This place was built for dogs. There’s a big and small dog side. The large dog side is huge. The small dog side is kinda small compared to the large dog side. Plus a limit of 20pds or less. The large dog side has multiple water stations and poop bags available. The soft green grass is surrounded by bark. At the far end the is a small agility course for the dogs. Even though the park was crowded,my medium size dogs fared well. All the dogs were very well behaved. Most times on the weekends, there’s always a few unsocialized dogs that are aggressive. There’s plenty of shade and benches to sit at. The only downside is the lack of parking for such a large and popular park
Awesome park close to a nice trail
My wife, two dogs and I LOVE Hap Magee. We drive down from Lafayette at least twice a week and sometimes three. It’s a gem not fully known for its beauty and perfect dog safe ecosystem. Can’t wait til the dog areas are fully reconditioned and reopened.
