Hammond Creek Dog Park is a spacious and well-maintained dog park located in Anderson County’s county park, right in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Perfect for pet owners seeking a local, dog-friendly space, the park features plenty of open grassy areas, mature trees for shade, and dedicated agility and playground equipment for dogs. Dog lovers from the area frequently praise the park’s large size, clean grounds, and community feel, making it one of the most popular dog parks in Lawrenceburg and surrounding Kentucky communities.
This dog park is divided into two separate areas—one for small dogs (under 30 lbs) and a larger space for bigger breeds—allowing pets to play safely according to their size. There are benches and shaded spots for owners to relax as they watch their dogs socialize and exercise. The park is wheelchair accessible and welcomes families, with ample parking available. Water fountains keep pups and people hydrated during playtime, while agility equipment offers extra fun for active dogs. If you’re seeking a pet-friendly park in central Kentucky, Hammond Creek Dog Park is a fantastic choice!
This is a brand new dog park for Anderson County. Located in the county park. Our Govt folks came together to create a great place to take your dogs. Lots of space to run with objects to climb on as well.
Very large area for a dog park and my dog loves it. Lots of trees for shade, benches to sit and watch, doggie playground equipment and a water fountain. Also love that it is divided by size. I couldn’t recommend this park enough!
LOVE THIS PARK! My dogs start whining and howling blocks before we get there because they know where we are heading! It is huge with plenty of room to run. It is the only dog park I’ve ever been to that had doggie playground equipment. They have agility equipment as well if that’s you thing. There are two sides. One for dogs under 30 lbs and the larger side for over 30 lbs. There is always other dogs there to greet and play with your fur babies. Great addition to Anderson County!
Large dog park with nice grass and play structures for dogs. Only visited while in town for a couple days but seems to be very well maintained.
The park is beautiful, huge and well taken care of. My dogs love to come here. Only downside is no one listens to the rules and their dogs will gang up on my dog, and just my one big dog. My dogs are trained and well behaved but when I am fighting off 3-6 dogs at a time and their owners are having social hour 30+ feet away and not even caring it makes it hard to enjoy our time. We get maybe 30 mins and have to leave. Also if you’re a woman please be careful me and my daughter were approached by a younger man who would not leave us alone until I had to get my dogs and leave, he followed us around the entire big dog side (not saying a word to us) and would not leave us alone and all the people in the park just watched it happen. So maybe try to go as early as you possibly can to avoid the creeps and bad pet owners. Because I know if I let my dog defend herself from the rude dogs I’ll be the problem but my dogs listen to me when I call them back! A PARK RULE BY THE WAY. just saying!
