If you’re searching for a dog park in Wayne, Pennsylvania, James C. Dittmar Park offers a tranquil, well-maintained space surrounded by old growth trees. The park features flat, open green spaces with soccer and lacrosse fields, paved walking paths ideal for pet-friendly strolls, and plenty of natural shade. It’s a great spot for residents seeking dog-friendly hiking or casual walks in a scenic local setting.
James C. Dittmar Park is wheelchair accessible, has a public restroom (though some reviewers note the facilities are basic), and provides adequate parking with a crushed gravel lot. Located next to Wayne Elementary School, it’s also a family-friendly destination with nearby playgrounds. While the park’s focus is not exclusively for dogs, it welcomes leashed pets and offers peaceful surroundings for both exercise and relaxation with your canine companion.
Beautiful park with well maintained soccer fields.
Really nice park relatively well sheltered from the wind and with a nice walk path. Lots of soccer goals and a well used park for soccer practice.
Nice, relatively flat green space surrounded by old growth trees. The lower field has soccer fields. Parking is adequate, the area surfaced with crushed gravel.
Underused park that has nice soccer/lacrosse fields and a paved walking path around the perimeter. Wayne Elementary School is very close and has multiple playgrounds. Nice area for a walk.
I was just at the park for a youth soccer game and the field was very well marked. I didn’t care for the bathrooms. The toilet was basically a huge hole with a seat and there was nowhere to wash your hands or get hand sanitizer.
