First time here from Michigan and even though it was a rainy day it was a nice experience. The hike is worth it for the end result. Very beautiful and well maintained park.
One of my favorite parks. It’s a 3 mile loop and half the loop is along the water. It’s shaded and it’s beautiful in the fall. Also, very dog friendly.
Even on a cold and windy late November afternoon, this is a wonderful place to visit. We rook the dorm for a hike and enjoyed walking the trail and popping over to the beach from time to time. There are a lot of other dogs and a lot of bikes, but there is plenty of room to step off the trail if you’re like us and have a cantankerous pup. Really enjoyed seeing the foundation of the former governor’s home. Great time overall.
Nice big state park to explore. Went on a cool spring day so no flying bugs yet but LOTS of ticks. Picked three off myself and my dog before we left, found another one on her once I got home.
It’s a big mountain biking place as well and I’ve heard lots of good things about it but have yet to ride here.
I’ll be back in the summer to check it out again and maybe go for a swim.
Great place for a relaxing hike. Great for dogs and equestrian as well. Beautiful views of Fischer’s Island and Long Island
Well marked trails
