Large park that has a shelter house, baseball diamonds, playground equipment, riverfront walkway, restrooms and plenty of parking.
I’ve been able to enjoy this park the last week or two because this is where my grandchildren play baseball. It’s a well kept park and cleaner than one would expect. That is until you decide to use the unisex bathrooms. They are atrocious and filthy, and what’s worse is they don’t have locks that work. It’s very nearly impossible to pee as quickly as you need in order to guarantee you won’t be walked in on. Anyway, if that was fixed, I’d give it 5 stars.
The park was a nice place to stop and play. There were only a couple other kids there and our granddaughter had fun playing with them. The slides are a great size for younger kids. They do have a piece of wood up at the top to keep kids from falling. I’m assuming that’s in the process of getting fixed. The climbing wall was nice for younger age kids too. We brought a lunch with us and we were disappointed there wasn’t any trash cans or anywhere to put trash. Obviously, we took everything home with us but there was plenty of trash left behind by others. Because of the baseball fields there is plenty of parking available! They also have plenty of picnic tables and benches to sit on.
I played softball there from tball and up. Now my daughters are playing softball here. I love the atmosphere, and I love watching my kids play. So grateful for a place close to home to watch my kids have fun. I also frequently rent the shelter out for birthday parties. They recently repainted, and updated appliances a year or so ago in the shelter. I love that you get the rental from 8am-midnight. Give plenty of time to set up and down.
This is a really nice place! We had our daughters baby shower, and it was great! Very spacious for any kind of party. Lots of counter space for food. The price for renting the building is very reasonable. Needless to say, we were very pleased.
