Nice park only found it on Google. The Outlook could have a great view. However, the trees have grown too tall. The first half of the hike was well labeled. On the overlook trail, there should be better signs. There is a port-a-potty which was clean.

Thr story book trail is a blast! My kids were running to read the next page! This park has something to offer for the entire family. Nice wide trails that aren’t too challenging but they get your blood pumping! Many picnic tables throughout the park for a picnic in warm weather. There’s also a great dog park at the entrance but it seems folks let their dogs go on the trails. So many piles of #2. Which is sad because it ruins all the hard work that the parks put into the place. Please clean up after your pets! This is a true gem in Mount Vernon!

Wolfs Run Park is an under-appreciated collection of trails, sights, and water features. With mostly smooth trails, I have found the inclines to be the biggest challenge, if any. The trails this park offers are full of lush greenery, plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife, and handsome trees.

The pond is always full of frogs, insects, and visiting creatures of all sizes! Have found the occasional bee hive in the grounds nearby, so keep your eyes and ears open.

Keep in mind that these trails are both shaded and open to direct sun, so make sure to bring shades, hats, and/or sunscreen. It gets hot out there!

There is a Story Book trail and an educational recycle trail as well.

There is a porta potty for restroom use and shaded picnic tables.

Hope you enjoy your visit!

This park is nice for sure. I liked the meadow trails the most. There’s 10 miles of trails here, but most are short. There are not maps at the intersections, just trail names, but you can follow your progress on google maps. It’s nicer than some Ohio state parks.

The park is also connected to Knox Woods State Nature Preserve. Wolf Run Regional Park has well maintained trails that are moderate to difficult. They also offer scenic views of the surrounding area. The parking area is large, and there is a portable restroom.
