Located in the heart of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, Mingo Creek Dog Park is a favorite spot for dog owners seeking spacious, pet-friendly fun. Known for its large, well-maintained areas, this park offers separate fenced zones for small and large dogs, ensuring safe play for pups of every size. Visitors praise the park’s expansive, open spaces and social atmosphere—perfect for energetic dogs to run, play off-leash, and interact with other pets from the community.
Mingo Creek Dog Park is more than just a dog run. The surrounding Mingo Creek Park features beautiful wooded trails for dog-friendly hiking, as well as amenities like picnic tables, a playground, and public restrooms—making it an all-ages destination. Shady areas, paved pathways (notably steep), and convenient parking add to the comfort and accessibility. Whether you’re looking for off-leash fun, a relaxing picnic, or scenic hikes alongside your dog, this park delivers!
Lots of space for the dogs to run, the gates could use some updating because the interior one doesn’t close/latch all the way. Nice shady spots and a picnic table to sit. There is a paved path up to the dog park that is nice but VERY steep. Always a handful of dogs at this park when we stop by so great for getting some social playtime!
Dog park is clean and maintained. It’s divided- one side for smaller dogs and the other for large dogs. Please be a decent human and bring vaccinated dogs only, that are not pumped up for a midday mauling.
Also, bring your best self. No one wants an awful dog plus their awful human in this park.
Other things to consider- bring toys, water and a baggie for cleanup. Kid friendly and tons of fun if you follow the above!!!
Went hiking around Mingo, Always a good time. We brought our Chihuahua, and he enjoyed the trails as much as we did. Always worth a visit if you’re in the area.
One note, the zip line in the playground was nonfunctional as of 7/24
Quaint and beautiful. Trees, creek, hiking, playground, and covered bridges. One of my all time favorite parks to visit
Love this park. Huge, open, tended space for big and small dogs. It is a hike up a 15% slope to get there but totally worth it for my boy.
