Betty Blume Park is a charming community park situated in a quiet residential area of Oxon Hill, Maryland. Welcoming both locals and visitors, this pet-friendly park is known for its laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for families and dog owners looking for a peaceful outing away from the buzz of the National Harbor and MGM Casino. Accessibility is a highlight here, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, ensuring everyone has a chance to enjoy the park’s amenities.
Although primarily known for its playground and tennis courts, Betty Blume Park does allow dogs, making it a great choice for those seeking dog-friendly activities in Oxon Hill. Picnicking areas are available, and shaded spots let both people and pets find relief on sunny days. While parking is limited, the park offers a pleasant retreat with walking trails that connect to hidden picnic areas, and a mix of new and seasoned playground equipment to keep kids entertained while your dog enjoys a stroll by your side.
A great little playground with two tennis courts and some picnic spots in a nice residential area. Good to get away from the hustle and bustle of the National Harbor and MGM Casino.
Mix of newish and older playground equipment, tennis court and picnic shelter in this smallish park area. The hidden gem is the lower picnic area, adjacent to the MGM storm pond/police station, that can be reached by a trail from behind the tennis courts.
Cute neighborhood playground and park. Very small and in need of some maintenance. Part of the playground was completely overgrown and covered in cobwebs. Parking is also very limited. Only 4 spaces total, including one handicapped space.
Nice small neighborhood family park in Oxon Hill with 2 well maintained tennis courts and a decent playground for kids to play on. Unfortunately thought it lead to the water to walk around, but it doesnt. Still had a nice walk and swung on the swings for a little. This place also has limited parking. Like only 5 designated spaces and room for 3 cars on the side.
This was a pretty cool playground the kids and I wanted to stop off somewhere before we went back to ECE Academy. They really liked the fossils and all of the climbing apparatus. I really liked the shaded area lol
