1 hr drive from me since I’m in laurel md
I went on a Saturday around 12
payed NULL.00 for all day parking.
I’m not from Calvert County so I had to pay NULL.00 me and my friend each.
They have a food truck which sells fries, snow cones, nachos and cheese, funnel cake, lemonade juice nd soda drinks.
All tho you can take your own food and snacks and drinks. No alcohol tho or smoking.
You can rent chairs, tubes, but you do have to pay.
We enjoyed our selves tho
One more thing beware of jelly fishes.

Love the pier. Staff does such a fantastic job. However I felt so bad for the staff this past weekend. Visiting guests had left an unbelievable amount of trash on the beach, pier, boardwalk and parking lot. All of that loose garbage can end up right in the bay. Very sad. People should do better. Keep it nice, take your garbage to a trash can. Pretty simple.

Calvert County’s North Beach is a bayside town that absolutely lives up their adopted slogan as the “Jewel of the Chesapeake Bay”. At the center and focus beyond the restaurants, boardwalk, antique stores, ice cream shops, water park, beach access, and everything else that gives it the tourist resort feel that it was built for, is the North Beach Pier. It is my favorite pier in Maryland for a number of reasons. This is a very active pier from which I have captured some of the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. There is ALWAYS something going on, or someone on the pier. Whether it’s fisherman on the designated lower deck of the pier, a yoga class at sunrise, couples at sunrise or sunset, families and students taking pictures for prom, homecoming, any other special events, or the residents of Calvert County that come everyday a few times a day walking, exercising, or taking their dogs out. This is an extremely dog friendly pier and is by far, the best maintained pier by staff and guests alike. The fishing is excellent here, especially towards the fall and winter months. North Beach Pier, and Chesapeake Beach in Maryland is where I go to escape the mental rigors of the day to day, and close enough of a drive to truly be able to relax for a few hours .

It’s a private beach, very small sand area not enough for everyone. You have to wait and check where there’s available space to put your umbrella. There’s a gate fee and expensive so prepare before you go. The pier looks nice and neat though. Nice board walk and great scenery.

Great views off the end of this pier. There are a lot of benches for sitting. There is a public bathroom on the shore end of the pier. There is a sand beach on either side of the pier on the mainland. I haven’t tried fishing there but it is a nice place to go and hang out.
