There’s two different Parks here. For the same usage. There’s at least 50 colored rocks with different names on them to remember all the dogs that have passed. It’s kind of a cool memorial. A lot of the locals around there that bring their dogs out or super friendly and informative. They let you know where all the cool things are to do around town

Two nice fenced areas in this dog park, one for smaller and one for larger dogs. Safe entry area, too. A couple of play/mobility items provided.

It’s dirt and desert scruff in terms of the surface. Unfortunately our spoiled-to-midwest-green-grass fur baby wasn’t impressed with the scruff, so we didn’t stay long. But that’s her issue, not the park!

I wish for a little more seating in terms of humans who are observing their canines.

Great park!! Lots of poop though despite bags, shovels and scoops – bring your own water and bowl!

Those big plastic black bowls of water are extremely toxic. If you see them, dump them out and throw them away.

Whether your pup loves chasing a frisbee or fetching a ball, you’ll find ample space and even a little hill to keep them entertained and get tired out.

One of the standout features is the agility obstacles scattered throughout the park. These are a great way to engage your dog’s mind and body, offering an extra layer of fun beyond the usual running and sniffing. The obstacles are well-maintained and perfect for pups of all sizes and skill levels.

The upkeep of the park is impressive. It’s clear that care and attention go into maintaining the grounds, keeping them clean and welcoming for visitors. Plus, Buena Vista’s stunning mountain views provide a serene backdrop, making this a place where both dogs and their humans can enjoy the experience.
